John Zaffis, Founder of the Paranormal Research Society of New England

John Zaffis has over thirty years of experience studying and investigating the paranormal.  He has has the opportunity to work for and with his Aunt and Uncle, Ed and Lorraine Warren.  This sent John beyond looking for ghosts and hauntings and into studying demonology under the Warrens.  This led into John's involvement with the cases of possession and exorcism and working with prominent exorcists in this field.  Roman Catholic priests, monks, Buddhists, Rabbis, and Ministers.  John has assisted and worked with well-known exorcists Bishop Robert McKenna, Malachi Martin, and the Rev. Jun.

His research has taken him throughout the United States, Canada, England, and Scotland covering several thousands of cases.  Through hands on investigating with other investigators and Clergy, he has obtained a great deal of knowledge and understanding of the paranormal and is considered to be one of the foremost authorities in the field today.

Ghosts and poltergeists were among some of his first-hand paranormal experiences, as well as the demonic and diabolical.  He has also worked extensively with both spiritualists and psychics concerning how their knowledge is used for channeling, reincarnation (past-life regression), or the calling of the spirits for information, and how they use meditation to acquire the information which they are seeking.  Because of his personal experiences with hauntings, ESP, near death experiences and other paranormal activities, he is firm in his conviction that such phenomena exist.

John has been featured in the Discovery Channel's documentaries "A Haunting in Connecticut," and "Little Lost Souls."  John has also appeared on Unsolved Mysteries, Fox News Live!, and may other print and news media events.  John is also in the books of Ed and Lorraine Warren "Graveyards and In A Dark Place."

John's first book, Shadows of the Dark - co-written with Brian McIntyre was released in September 2004.  John is working on multiple follow-up books currently, and is lecturing all over the United States at colleges and universities.  The John Zaffis Paranormal Museum opened in 2004 and displays hundreds of artifacts collected over John's 30 years as a paranormal researcher and investigator.

Doug & Scott L.  "Ghostly Talk Hosts":

Ghostly Talk is the world’s premier weekly independent talk show about the paranormal. The focus is the scientific and logical study of paranormal activities. Ghostly Talk tries to use common sense with uncommon topics.

Ghostly Talk is currently broadcast live on Sunday nights from 6:00pm to 9:00pm EST. A large number of affiliates support the show through live broadcasting and re-broadcasting throughout the week over the Internet, and AM and FM broadcasts. Archives of all past shows are available at the Ghostly Talk web site at www.ghostlytalk.com and also in podcast format at: http://www.ghostlytalk.com/gt.rss.

Ghostly Talk, originally formed by co-hosts Doug and Scott L. on a snowy night outside of a dive bar in New Haven, MI, first aired on February 12th, 2002 to a total listening audience of one person (who consequently Doug and Scott L. knew).

They tried an initial 13 shows entitled "Project 1" and were very pleased with the response from the paranormal community and the fun they were having producing the show. Project 2 was born from the first 13 shows that the two nervous & inexperienced amateur internet broadcasters limped through. Doug and Scott L. realized after those first 13 shows that things seemed to run smoother when the scripts, notes and outlines were thrown out and they relaxed and just became themselves.) This made the show much more informative and entertaining as a result of Doug and Scott L’s edgy sense of humor.

In the summer of 2002 Doug and Scott L. met the likes of one Will Whitmer through mutual friends. Will started hanging out in the Haunted Basement Studio during Ghostly Talk broadcasts. After while, Will fit right in as Ghostly Talk's board operator during live broadcasts.

On January 13th of 2003, Ghostly Talk went to a two hour format from the frustration of not being able to fit the volumes of material on subjects into each show. This opened the doors for FREE advertising campaigns that the Ghostly Talk crew started up to help support other shows around the same subject matter that started popping up all over the country.

On June 22nd, 2003, Ghostly Talk introduced a third co-host by the name of Karma to the exponentially growing listening audience, who welcomed her with open arms. Karma was a wonderful addition to the show and was enjoyed until December of 2004 when she decided to leave the show to pursue other interests.

2005 was quite possibly the most ground breaking year for the show since its conception, with the largest names and organizations in the paranormal community turning their heads towards Ghostly Talk.

On September 4th, 2005, Doug and Scott L decided to officially move to a three hour format to accommodate the expressed demand from the army of listeners for more Ghostly Talk!

Monolithic and legendary paranormal researchers such as John Zaffis and Loyd Auerbach, along with personalities such as George Lutz (of Amityville Horror House fame, R.I.P.), Tom and Lisa Butler (technical consultants for the film White Noise), and world renown spoon bender Uri Geller have graced the program with their wisdom and stories. Big names like actor Sid Haig (House Of A 1000 Corpses and The Devils Rejects), and legendary Singer/Writer/Actor Henry Rollins have made numerous appearances on Ghostly Talk, further widening the scope of the show to produce real, independent media on a consistent basis.

On August 26th, 2005, the crew of Ghostly Talk also made their first appearance on the worlds most listened to late night talk show, COAST TO COAST AM WITH GEORGE NOORY where Doug, Scott L, and Will showcased some of the evidence they have acquired over the last five years as paranormal investigators along with talking about some of their experiences as ghost hunters. They were heard by over twenty-five million listeners of COAST TO COAST AM that night which has helped Ghostly Talk's popularity grow exponentially towards the end of 2005.

On May 22nd, 2006 Will Whitmer stepped down as a member of Ghostly Talk to pursue other interests. Will has his part in the history of Ghostly Talk and is missed.

The story has come full circle again back to the original duo of Doug and Scott L., with the help of long time supporter & friend Bonnie G. stepping in during the broadcast. Ghostly Talk pushes on with a life of its own, encouraging discussion and critical thought along with emanating a true passion for the paranormal, week after week.

To this day, Ghostly Talk continues as the world’s premier independent resource for the paranormal. Serving tens of thousands of listeners per week with live feeds and archived broadcasts along with a consistent four million page hits a month, Ghostly Talk, on its fifth year of production, has grown into a thriving independent, paranormal information powerhouse.
